Hi, I’m Mich (She/Her)!
I’m a queer, self-taught artist specializing in hand-poked tattoos. My work is inspired by my East Asian heritage, multicultural upbringing, and the many ways people make meaning through memory, grief, tenderness, and joy.
I bring a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to my tattoo practice, and I strive to make each session feel collaborative, intentional, and grounded in trust. To me, tattooing is about education, consent, communication, and honoring what feels right for each person’s body.
I recently received my MSW, specializing in palliative and end-of-life care. In my final-year practicum on the palliative care team at a hospital, I had the honor of supporting patients and families as they navigated difficult healthcare decisions — through grief and uncertainty — to determine what quality of life meant to them. I see many overlaps between my work as a tattoo artist and palliative social worker: talking through options, holding space for complexity and autonomy, and making meaning through human connection.
These days, I do occasional guest spots in short windows, often out of Yarrow Studio, located on the ancestral lands of the Lenape people in what is now called Brooklyn.
